Exclude directory from deployment sync

Hello,

I have been searching for a way to do this, but so far nothing has worked for me, there are a few folders in my project that contain 1000s of tiny files, these are only uploaded once but make a project sync take absolutely forever.

I have added the folders both locally and remotely to my deployment excluded paths but it still ends up stuck... spinning for up to an hour re-verifying these folders I have both explicitly listed to be extruded from deployment

There has to be a way to fix this.

Thanks,

Kyle

Right click those folders (in a project tool window) > mark as > excluded

Hello Dmitry, thank you for your reply, even after doing that it still sits at "loading... '/path I exluded/........'

What do you have in Settings | Build, Execution, Deployment | Deployment | Options? Is "Overwrite up-to-date files" option enabled?

Hello Vladimir,

Yes, that option was enabled, but it is behaving the exact same way if it's enabled or not.

Thanks!

Please enable debug log collection for deployment issues as per https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241115-How-to-Collecting-PhpStorm-WebStorm-debug-Logs then reproduce the issue and upload idea.log somewhere to check what's going on there.

Hello Vladimir,

Do you guys have a private location it can be uploaded to so my logs are not public?

Thanks,

Kyle

Best would be to contact support directly via "Submit a request" button at the top and send the logs directly to the team.
