Can't run or debug any class

Suddenly I can't run or debug any class in my project (which was fine for the past year or so). This is IntelliJ CE 2017.3.4 on Ubuntu 17.10. I can run classes in other projects but in this specific one when I press the button nothing happens. Things which so far haven't helped:

  • Restarting IntelliJ 
  • Restarting my computer
  • Invalidating caches and restarting
  • Upgrading to IntelliJ IC 2018.1.5

As far as I can tell there's nothing relevant in the logs. Any other ideas?

Hello,

Could you please report new issue on YouTrack ( http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA)  attaching logs folder zipped ("Help | Show Log in...")? Do you use any build system (Maven/Gradle)?
