Default Hotkeys keep driving me of from JetBrains

From time to time I'll try IntelliJ IDEA again. It does have some cool features. Also it has a great integration of Gradle. But what keeps turning me of again and again are the default hotkeys. Nearly all important hotkeys are 2 handed. This absolutely disturbs the workflow.  I'm not really interested in creating my own custom key mapping, because I will need to do this every time I'm in a new environment. A useful default key mapping is something which I simply expect. The same problem exists with all JetBrain IDEs.

What is the solution for this? How are other users handle this problem?
