Centering the selected file in the Project window
Answered
Is it possible to center the selected file in the project window when navigating to it?
I know you can autoscroll from source, but that only centers it vertically. But if you have a very nested structure, the actual file name may not be clearly visible, if for example you were at a root level file before, and you navigate to a 10x nested file..
You then have to navigate to the project pane and scroll sideways to center on the file which is a pain, and on laptop screens its not practical to have a very wide project pane.
Is it possible to make it center horizotnally when navigating to a file?

Actually, it should work: scrolling to the file from source action also centers the file horizontally in Project tool window. Do you see different behaviour? What IDE version do you use? Could you attach a screenshots/screencast should the issue?
Do you have this problem with any files and projects?
There is also a request for a separate horizontal scroll action which would center the file in project window: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-171905
