R language Plugin

[1] I can't create an R project - R does not appear as a possible Project Type in the Project Type Dialog (on the Left).  I did have this functionality before in an earlier version.

[2] I don't appear to have the R console accessible through the IntelliJ workspace

[3] IntelliJ does know that I have the R executable at "/usr/local/bin/R"

 

What is your recommendation to "reclaim" this functionality?

[a] Do I uninstall "R Studio"?

[b] Do I uninstall and reinstall IntelliJ?

[c] is there a more direct solution via "settings"??

Possibly the plugin is incompatible with a new IDEA build. Please check that R plugin is installed and up to date (Settings | Plugins) and try to update it manually.

I have the exact same problem with the newest PyCharm version. I had to install R Studio to work on my projects...
