IntelliJ freezes each time I edit a file

Hello,
Today I updated to IntelliJ IDEA 2018.1. I then opened a Scala project, and started working on it. After a while the IDE became almost unusable: whenever I edit a file the IDE freezes for a few seconds. I also tried switching back to IntelliJ IDEA 2017.3, but the IDE keeps freezing.
I attach a few threadDump-freeze log files:

Hi. It is not clear where have you attached the files. could you please raise a ticket at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues and provide thread dumps there?
