Anyone have recommendations for netbooks that can run intellij?
I know it requires 2ghz but i dont see too many netbooks being able to run that.

For the IDE's best performance I'd say the main requirements are fast hard drive (SSD of course is better) and amount of RAM, so you could look into these parameters for the machine.

Yes, it will run. Note however that if you work with large projects or a lot of different projects it could take up more space, including for indices and caches. For example (I work with many different projects) my IDE caches folder takes up 5.6Gb.
so the issue is just the space not the processing power?
Well the faster CPU you have the better. It still will work with slower CPU, but some operations (e.g. indexing) could take longer than on faster CPU.
