Mac: A certain file won't open an editor tab

I've checked out a Git Repo. But when I'm opening the project in WebStorm and when I click on the file, it shows up in the breadcrumb view at the top of the Webstorm window, but no editor tab opens. Trying to open it via 'Seach Everywhere' but what happens is just to scroll me down to the file I've picked up from the list, but not opening it.

Does anyone have an idea what could be happening?

I'm using Mac. OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Webstorm 2018.2 (182.3684.70)

This issue begins after my update to 2018.2. If I try to open old projects there is no problem - files are opened. This is really weird. Tried to uninstall/re-install Webstorm, but it's not working. I've checked if some of the project dependencies are not getting new versions, but that was not the case.

Tried with: File -> Invalidate Cache / Restart, but with no success.

Previous version of WebStorm was 2018.1.4

Hi there,

What kind of file is that? Do you need additional plugin to work with that file?

I may suggest using "Submit a Request" link at the top of the page where create Support ticket and can privately attach your file for further investigation (especially if it was opening fine in previous version).

I'm having React project, so I'm trying to open .js files. But with no success. But I can open .json files

Well ...

1) Check your idea.log file for any exceptions / hints ("Help | Show Log in Finder")

2) Try with all custom (not bundled by default) plugins disabled; also try updating all plugins first.

idea.log file would be helpful
