Tiny red dash way to the right -- ?

Just me, or is the lilliputian red dash way off to the right for a compile error inadequate?    And, for example, a missing semicolon there is an almost invisible squiggle under a parenthesis.   With today's high resolution 4K monitors, it's not user friendly. 

Is there a plugin or similar to put these errors more visible?   In my face, obnoxious visible would be perfectly okay.
