Broken keystrokes

I’m having trouble using the switcher (control-tab) since upgrading to the latest version (from IDEA 2017.3 Community to IDEA 2018.1.2 Ultimate).
When I press control-tab, the list of files pops up for a split second but almost immediately the second file in the list is switched to and the pop up closes.
I’m running Red Hat 4.8.5 but viewing the IDE on a windows 7 box via MobaXterm.

Hello Robert,
Could you please attach idea.log ("Help | Sow log in...") after restarting IDE? You could use any online sharing service or our FTP: ftp://ftp.intellij.net/.uploads/
