Can't write in pycharm

Hi Anna,

thank for your answers, I will definitely check them out asap. As the "I can't write", What I wanted to say,  I couldn't code and if I try I only get a beep sound. I am not sure if this makes it any clearer. I did create a new project after that I opened a new python file. So now I wanted to write my code and I all that I can do was nothing and hear that beep sound.

I met same issue too. I just install this application PyCharm and set all the configure by default.

But It will show as Ziemannguido problem.

in the menu bar tool -> disable vim editor

I had this problem and fix it with your advice, but what is vim editor means??

It4ly84, vim, nano,... are tool to edit files but these have specific way of working it's not like notepad++ the shortcut are very different even the ways of editing
and during the setup configuration you may have enable it accidently (to be sure nothing will be wrong)
