Intellij Idea in virtual Mac 10.13 doesn't see the ios simulator
Answered
Greetings,
First post, guess the community is a good place to ask a question too!
My nine years old son is learning Flutter development and I can't afford a mac so I managed to create for him a virtual High Sierra and we installed everything and got it running. The ios simulator coming with Xcode works fine however when selecting from IntelliJ Idea to Open the ios Simulator it does so but yet once we try to compile it tells us to connect a device.
It's not seeing the iphone X simulator running happily next to it.
Is there anyway to get it to see it?
Thank you very much!

ps: he's following a course on Udemy from Paolo Dichone who recommends IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition :)

Hello,
Do you see any errors/warnings in idea.log ("Help | Show Log in...")?
Hi Yaroslav!
Thank you for your reply.
Indeed it mentioned running Flutter Doctor and there was a bunch of things to do there. Took 8 hours for the VM to install brew believe or not yikes and and this is not an old laptop or cheap. So we got it sorted out in the end.
Thanks again for the tip!
PS: Next time, we'll sleep on it.. this sort of thing we should've picked up right away.

You are welcome!
