JavaScript code competion box immediately disappears

When I start typing, IntelliJ should render a box with the variables defined that match what I am typing.

This box shows up for a fraction of a second, and then it disappears so I have to manually type out everything, and the box can be distracting, and not helpful since I don't have the time to click on the recommended variable names.

All other posts online had no solution.

I don't have power save mode on, and I've tried configuring the settings for code completition on Editor > General > Code Completion.

Nothing is working.
