Run Tool Window - tab text color

Answered

In the attached screenshot, the selected tab of the Run Tool Window has white text on a dark gray background. It's completely unreadable. Is there any way to change the text color?

Console colors can be configured here:

Right, but that's not what I meant. I'm talking about the Run Tools Window, not the Console. Also, I mean the tab title text, not text in the window itself. Re-reading my original message, I can see that I wasn't really clear about that part, so here's my initial image again, with the thing I'm talking about outlined in red:

Do you use some custom theme/plug-in? I can't reproduce it in 2018.1.4:

Hmm. Things I can think of that are relevant:

  • I've got my own color scheme for syntax
  • In Appearance > UI Options, I'm just using the Windows theme
  • I do use the Active Tab Highlighter Plugin, but I'm reasonably sure it's not what's causing this, because (a) it only has one option, for Background color (not foreground), and (b) I have the background set to #CCFFBB, which is a mint green, and the background of the Run Tool Window tab isn't mint green.

Huh. That got me poking around a little more, and it seems like it might only be happening if one of the tabs is for a Gulp task. Does that help point you at anything?

In IntelliJ IDEA 2018.1.4 Windows theme is no longer available, there are IntelliJ and Darcula themes only now. Try with the current version, default theme, no plug-ins.

Using the IntelliJ theme solved it, even with all of my plugins active. Thanks!

I'll take it as a solution, but I have to say, I'm not thrilled with the IntelliJ theme. I really like the look and feel of the Windows theme. Do you know what's behind the decision to get rid of it?

Excellent. Thanks!
