Editor not accepting any input for a few seconds after reformating src via shortcut

When editing a java-File and fireing the format-command via shortcut, the editor will not move the cursor or write anything even when clicking with the mouse. The pointer is still blinking but no movement or input will get accepted.
If if run "Code" > "Reformat Code" via Main Menu, the problem will not ocure.
How can I solve this?
