Does intelliJ updates itself incrementally?

Hi
I'm currently using the AUR package manager of Arch for my IntelliJ and Pycharm IDEs. But for every update, the whole package has to be downloaded every time and for intelliJ that's nearly a GigaByte of size every time. I wondered, if I install IntelliJ and any other Jetbrains IDE the normal way, will it only download the changes for each update (like Android apps nowadays), or will it also download the full package every time (like the JRE and JDK)?

It depends on the version and how frequently you update.
Chain/batch updates are not supported yet. Patch updates between major releases are not provided, related requests:
