Code->Generate not showing up when I am in the Editor pane

When I am in the Editor Window and select Code, the Generate option does not appear. When I am in the Project window and select a class it shows up in the drop down but it is greyed out.

What I have tried so far:

I went to Menus and Toolbars and tried Restore All Defaults and Restore Default but they are greyed out.

I have also tried File-Invalidate Caches/Restart, but did not resolve the problem.

Using Ubuntu 18.04, Intellij version 2018.2
