Database Plugin hangs (MySql)

I'm trying to connect to a MySQL database on my local box and IntelliJ is hanging.  I know the credentials are correct.  From the stacktrace, it looks like Idea is trying to access the stored credentials, but I don't see any popups prompting me for my password.
