MAC OSX - "The selected directory is not a valid home for JDK" - [Ultimate 2018.2.5]

I'm trying to use Oracles JDK for versions 10 and 11 produces the following. (version 8 works fine!).

I get the following after selecting the home directory @ /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-10.0.2.jdk/Contents/Home

There seem to be a handful of posts related to this with no clear resolution. Any help would be much appreciated.

Works fine for me. How did you install JDK? Please try File | Invalidate Caches/Restart.. | Invalidate and Restart and/or JDK reinstall.

If issue remains provide the output from java -version for this jdk and idea.log file.

I have invalidated and restarted and I still have the issue...

Since recent IDE version Caches invalidation does not reset virtual file system caches which could help in this very case. Could you please enable this registry option (Help | Find Action -> type "Registry") to bring the old behaviour back:

and repeat File | Invalidate Caches/Restart.. | Invalidate and Restart. 

If it does not fix the issue, please try to re-install the JDK from Oracle's site.
