IntelliJ IDEA with Python plugin

Answered

Seeing "Querying skeleton generator for python_interpreter_here" for several versions of IntelliJ with the Python plugin (both community edition and ultimate edition)

What is this for?

Does it have to do this every time I open a Python based project?

At times it slows me down.

Thanks.

Please try it in the latest EAP build to see if problem remains https://www.jetbrains.com/pycharm/nextversion/.

If problem remains, please create an issue in our issue tracker using the link https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/PY and attach a new log to it.

Any chance I can get an answer of what it means "Querying skeleton generator for python..." ?

As far as I know skeletons are needed for a static analysis, so PyCharm is waiting for the skeleton update process.

The problem could be similar to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-28429, so please feel free to comment or create a new issue.
