Pycharm not starting up

Until recently Pycharm has been working fine. As of a few days ago, we now get a popup window on startup that says 'The application cannot start correctly (0x000007b). Click OK to close application'
Running on a 64 bit ASUS with 12 GB (VivoBook S14) running Windows 10.
I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Pycharm 64 but to no avail.
Any suggestions appreciated.
