Editor freezes upon typing UTF-8 characters on macOS

Hello,

I encountered a little problem with all the JetBrains editors I use right now (WebStorm/Android Studio/PyCharm) when typing non-ASCII characters (e.g: é, à, ß ...), macOS suggests a list of the varieties of the letter I press and hold, which I do quite often when typing in other languages (e.g: strings, documentation ...) .

So I was wondering if this behaviour could be solved with some magical setting, or is it a real issue.
