Shelf patches backup location in Mac OS

When working in multiple branches, when reimporting the pom file, my .idea folder have been deleted. Is there a backup location where the shelf patches are stored? How can I recover the shelved patches?

No, there is no backup. You could try calling Local History on the .idea folder, the shelve folder might be saved there.
