Is There a 'Promote to Project' Option?

Say I decide to work on a certain sub-directory as an independent project.

Is there a simple way to do this without creating a new project with an existing source?

cheers for the answer.

I'm not saying it's not possible to do otherwise. I'm only saying it'd be a nice feature which some other IDEs already have.
