Temporarily Broke CLion 2018.2.5

Answered

Build 182.4892.24

Bug Description:

Loss of ability to specify file extension (.c or.cpp) when creating a new source file and loss of ability to create a new source file at all.

Closing and opening CLion fixed this issue for me but I am reporting  it because it happened at all and may be of interest.

Reproduce Bug By:

1) Open Clion to some project

2) rt click on top- folder of project

3) select new

4) select c/c++ source file

5) click on wrench symbol to the right of the "Type" to open dialog box

6) select .c in leftmost pane

7) move .c above .cpp  by clicking "up" arrow

8) click OK to close dialog box

9) (notice that nothing has changed in the Type drop down- it's still .cpp)

10) press cancel

11) repeat steps 1-4 above. Notice the extension (Type drop down) is completely blank and there is no way to select any extension or complete this dialog, thus no way to make a new class (using  this procedure)

Hello!

I can't reproduce this in CLion 2018.2.6 on macOS. I got ".c" in the Type field as expected.

Please update CLion to 2018.2.6 and check whether the issue persists on your side. If yes, please send a screencast illustrating the issue to clion-support at jetbrains.com.
