Alt + right/left arrow Shortcuts not in terminal or editor

Hi, after updating IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate to version 2018.3.1 RC2 Build #183.4588.27 using the JetBrains Toolbox, the Alt + left/right arrow shortcuts no longer works in the terminal or the editor to navigate between open tabs. I tried changing the shortcut keys but that had no affect, I made sure that there were no conflicts between shortcuts. I tried to reinstall intelliJ but this had no affect, I tried File > Invalidate Caches/Restart... but no affect, I also looked for windows shortcut conflicts and for other application shortcut conflicts but found none, after rolling back to version 20.18.2.7 build #182.5107.41 that my shortcuts started working properly again (This is the default shortcuts). I have no idea how else to fix this, any advice?
