Import settings wrote manually

Answered

Hello,

I am trying to have a repo where I can track how my settings are updated and be able to restore them. So I exported the settings.jar file. Change the extension to zip, unzip it and use those files in my git repo.

Now to restore, I use the `zip` command, to create a zip archive, rename it to .jar.

The issue comes when I go to file > import settings, I get an error message saying "The file ... contains no settings to import."

Thank you.

It is not designed to do the archiving manually. Please use Settings Repository plugin for this, see Share settings through a settings repository.
