Stop "Search Everywhere" from automatically inserting last query

Answered

Search Everywhere now automatically inserts your last query in the search entry box.

Is there a way to disable this behavior?

I use Search Everywhere for navigating recently used/opened files very quickly.

Unfortunately, the new behavior infuriatingly ruins that use case.

Hi.

Looks like this feature was implemented in https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-193383

As I see last query text is selected by default, so if you just press Shift + Shift and type it would be overwritten.

Is there a way to disable this feature? I use "Search Everywhere" to quickly navigate to recent files without searching. And this new behavior ruins my use case.
