Not starting, stuck on Splashscreen, no shortcuts / commands working

Hi there

I recently downloaded the newest version of IntelliJ. Unfortunately, since I set up my project I was not able to use the IDE properly.

Most of the times the IDE is stuck on the Splashscreen - nothing happens. I can work around this, by loading a 'recent project' through the App-Icon. This will load the project, but I'm not able to use any dialog in the IDE then.

I'm using the latest Mac OS X and JDK and tried also with re-installation / deleting / using older version etc.

Any suggestions?
