GC overhead limit exceeded
We have a Spring Boot project which is quite large. The requirement is that we have the entities per year. So in 2018 we had about 200 entities and another 200 for 2019. Now I want to create the files for 2020. But when I generated them, I got a "GC overhead limit exceeded" error during building!
Each entity has a repository, a service, a general, a controller and about six tests. The project is quite large meanwhile (~4000 classes). The thing is, with 2018 & 2019 it's working fine, but with 2020 I keep getting this error. But 2020 is depending on 2019, actually it's at the moment a exact copy. I don't know what do. I have tried some approaches from stackoverflow and this site, but no one worked for me. I don't think that IntelliJ can't handle so large projects, right? What can I do?

Do you build using IntelliJ IDEA compiler, Gradle or Maven?
Did you try increasing the compiler heap size here?
It works! Thank you ... hadn't see this in any answers lol, such an easy solution.
