Unable to perform in-place patch update from 2019.1 to 2019.1.1

I was on IntelliJ IDEA 2018.3.6, then I updated to 2019.1 after responding to the notification. This was an in place update, I did not need to redownload anything.

However I got another update notification for version 2019.1.1. It seems I cannot update to 2019.1.1 in place, the notification just has a download button which directs me to the download page on the Jetbrains website.

Is this expected behavior? It is strange that I can update from 2018.3.6 to 2019.1 in place, but I cannot do the same for updating from 2019.1 to 2019.1.1.

I am using IntelliJ IDEA CE on macOS.

Current version: 2019.1 (build 191.6183.87)
New version: 2019.1.1 (build 191.6707.61)
