Low Memory in WebStorm 2019.1
Hello,
since the update to version 2019.1, Webstorm runs out of mory after a 3-4 hours of work and becomes unusable.
The memory indicator of Webstorm shows a usage of 15 GB. Maybe this is related to the use of the debugger.
Further increasing of the stack size is not an option.
Will there be a fix available soon ? Otherwise we have to step back to Webstorm 2018
Kind regards,
Michael

Please try taking memory snapshots once the issue occurs and provide them along with your log folder zipped
The action 'Capture Memory Snapshot' seems to be running but I cannot find the created dump files on the ubuntu 18 system.
How can I submit the log files ?
Once capturing is completed, dump should be saved to your home folder
>How can I submit the log files ?
you can upload them to a file server and provide a lint, or create a support ticket, attaching logs to it
I've been having this exact same issue since upgrading to 2019.1. I'll usually get the warning about 15-20 minutes into debugging a large angular cli project. It also happens in the Rider 2019.1 EAP5. The only way to fix the issue is to restart the IDE. It's pretty frustrating.
Hello, I'm having the same issue in a react project that uses mobx-state-tree
In the past I had similar weird behaviors using this library inside webstorm
¿Is there any tip to optimize it by disable features or something similar ?
thanks!
No, disabling features will unlikely help.
If giving the IDE more RAM doesn't help, please create a support ticket, attaching memory snapshots taken once the issue occurs ( https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241235-Reporting-performance-problems) along with your log folder (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/206544519-Directories-used-by-the-IDE-to-store-settings-caches-plugins-and-logs) content
