SolarLint is deleting characters without asking, and refuses to be disabled.

SolarLint is making decisions for itself and deciding to delete two characters on the line each time I edit and compile. Naturally, I don't want changes forced on me. How can I disable SolarLint? At least, how I can I stop it from deleting characters.
Intellij version: 2018.3.4

Please disable it in File | Settings (Preferences for Mac OS) | Marketplace. What do you mean by "refuses to be disabled"?
It refuses because there's no clear way to disable it. I managed to find it under "Other Settings"
