IDEA Groovy/Maven

Answered

I have next dependencies in my pom.xml file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<project xmlns="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0 http://maven.apache.org/xsd/maven-4.0.0.xsd">
<modelVersion>4.0.0</modelVersion>
<groupId>groupId</groupId>
<artifactId>Geb2</artifactId>
<version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>

<dependencies>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.codehaus.groovy</groupId>
<artifactId>groovy-all</artifactId>
<version>2.5.7</version>
<type>pom</type>
</dependency>

<dependency>
<groupId>org.gebish</groupId>
<artifactId>geb-core</artifactId>
<version>2.0</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.seleniumhq.selenium</groupId>
<artifactId>selenium-chrome-driver</artifactId>
<version>3.11.0</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.seleniumhq.selenium</groupId>
<artifactId>selenium-support</artifactId>
<version>3.6.0</version>
</dependency>
</dependencies>
<build>
<sourceDirectory>src</sourceDirectory>
<plugins>
<plugin>
<artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId>
<version>3.7.0</version>
<configuration>
<source>1.8</source>
<target>1.8</target>
</configuration>
</plugin>
</plugins>
</build>

But  next error is shown:

Error:Groovyc: While compiling Geb2: A groovyc error occurred while trying to load one of the classes in project dependencies. Please ensure its version is compatible with other jars (including Groovy ones) in the dependencies. See the message and the stack trace below for reference

Does the build work from the command line Maven, outside of IntelliJ IDEA?

No, I run it by next steps:

1. right click on script;

2. click on Run"name of script".

See if "mvn clean package" works in the command line.

Yes. It works

I had a similar trouble. I cannot run anything from inside IDEA but from command line works fine

It's a problem with the groovy-all version.

With the 4 works

<groovy-all.version>2.4.15</groovy-all.version>
