Problem with Git connection via SSH after upgrade
I had already posted about my problem after upgrade to PhpStorm 2019.1.2 Build #PS-191.7141.52 - maybe the admins can make that question visible again (seems to have been hidden): https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/requests/2145911
The problem is not with the Git login/password. It is with the SSH connection. I never encountered this problem before PhpStorm 2019.1.2 Build #PS-191.7141.52!. Now, I have to restart the desktop because everything become unresponsive.
If I start PhpStorm from a terminal shell, I can see in that terminal the request for the password to unlock the SSH key. This is not presented to me if I start it via a panel (I use the Lumina desktop on FreeBSD... but I assume the same would happen on any *NIX desktop environment). Instead of ignoring the git connection in these cases, PhpStorm seems to block everything.
Something must have change in PhpStorm 2019.1.2 Build #PS-191.7141.52 in how it handles this request. And it is annoying. It is also the reason why I did not react to the answer of the support team until today: I need quite some time and effort to test it out. Everytime this problem occurs, I have to restart X.org.

The ticket you are referring to is still there, it's in the Pending state waiting for your reaction. Please note that you need to be logged on as

The guess behind that is that this Lumina panel is unable to deal a keychain master key request.
Switching to using KeePass should fix that.
If it doesn't, please reproduce the issue once again and then, after you kill X.org, collect and upload the logs bundle (Help | Compress Logs) somewhere, to the same ticket for instance.
Sorry, I was not aware that I needed to create an account to follow-up on a request. I have one account with which I have bought my license, already. Apparently, I posted the request under a different e-mail address. But under this address there is no account with Jetbrains... Instead of creating an additional account, I just follow-up here.
I had tried the KeePass option as you suggested earlier. It did not work either. Note, I use KeePassXC - I assume the two are compatible for what concerns PhpStorm's usage? When I chose to store passwords in KeePass and then open the problematic repo, I am not presented with anything where I could enter my password. Like before, everything becomes unresponsive (I can still move the cursor - but clicks have no effect anymore). What should have happened?
While I am at it: With the KeePass option there is also an option to protect the master password with a PGP key. But it says that no key is configured. So I wonder: where could I configure that key?
And lastly, how can I send the compressed log files?

Unfortunately this is not documented anywhere. I believe you can generate one using pgp command line.

Looks like KeePass doesn't help here.
I'm seeing this problem on Ubuntu 19.04 with
#PS-191.7479.51
I'm not sure it is caused by ssh + git
I can execute git commands via ssh, the moment I open dialogues in sub-windows phpstorm freezes up. At the moment phpstorm is not usable.
Hi Bartel, sorry for you, but I am quite happy to hear that I am not alone. This makes it more likely that Jetbrains can identify the cause and fix it (if the two freeze problems are indeed related).
Have you tried opening PhpStorm from an x-terminal window? There, I was able to see the request to enter the passphrase for the SSH key. Maybe you could find some info there, too?

Hi Dmitry I have opened a new issue:
https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WI-47488#focus=streamItem-27-3561273.0-0
When starting phpstorm in a terminal the only info I see is:
Gtk-Message: 17:07:42.944: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
