Intellij Idea scroll wheel for spigot minecraft version select not working.

Hello everyone, I am a new forum user here so pardon me if I make a mistake of any kind.

I recently installed the minecraft plugin in intellij idea and was hoping to code plugins for minecraft version 1.8. However when I was trying to scroll down it would not work, meaning i cannot pick 1.8 as i physically cannot reach it. Here is a video showing my problem.

Some info on my end. I use Linux Manjaro, i have a ryzen 5 2400g, 8gb of ram, and an r9 280. I  hope the details I have provided are sufficient to get my problem across and hopefully one of you lovely people will be able to help solve my problem!
