Debugging and numba

Answered

Dear Team, Thanks a lot for providing such a great IDE! I am currently trying to debug some Python code which includes several numbarized functions. It appears that the breakpoints are simply ignored in this case. Two questions: Is it true that breakpoints are not honored if inside a numba function or am I misdiagnosing the issue? If yes, then any adivice on how to set up a proper debugging workflow using PyCharm and numba would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance! Best, Philipp

Hi Philipp,

It's not supported at the moment. There is a feature request for Cython and another one for C/C++ python extensions debugging https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-9476, https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-21736

Feel free to vote for them and leave comments or submit another request if you think that your case is not covered by them.
