IntelliJ IDEA IDE Community Edition installation issue

Hello,
I have installed IntelliJ IDEA IDE Community Edition on my mac, and can see it in the applications folder. However when I go to open it nothing happens. Wondering if anyone has encountered this issue or knows how to fix it? Thanks!

What macOS version do you have?
Are there any errors if you run it from the Terminal (/Applications/IntelliJ\ IDEA.app/Contents/MacOS/idea)?
Does https://download.jetbrains.com/idea/ideaIC-2019.2.1-jbr8.dmg version work for you?
I have macOS version 10.10.5
Wow! yeah I downloaded the version you provided in the link and it is working! What was the issue?
If you check the system requirements on the downloads page, you'll notice that the minimum supported macOS version is macOS 10.11. Your macOS is too old, but the IDE version with JBR 8 can still run on it.
