Any way to update disabled plugins?

Answered

Hi,

It seems in one of the relatively recent updates (I"m not sure which), the new plugin UI was made default, and it seems that part of what was lost there is the ability to update DISABLED plugins.  IDEA only finds updates for enabled plugins, and there's no way I can see to "force" an update if a plugin is disabled.

I miss this because I have a large number of plugins installed, but for performance reasons, I keep most disabled and only enable the ones a given project calls for.  But, in the past, I used to be able to simply sort by status and any plugins that had an update, regardless of current status, would be at the top, and I could just hit update on each.  I like always being completely up to date, so seemingly losing this capability now isn't ideal.

It also doesn't appear possible to use the old plugin UI any longer, which is what I was doing for a long time.  I assume that would solve my "problem", but it doesn't seem to be an option any longer via the registry setting I used to use.

So, question: is there by chance a way to force updates of disabled plugins that I missed?  If not, I'll open a feature request.

Thanks!
