Error while starting xslt debugger

Answered

Hi All,

I am getting below error when trying to debug xslt code.

The XSLT Debugger requires Java 1.5 - 1.8 to run

is there any solution to remove this error and debug code? I am using community version.

Make sure the JDK which is specified in XSLT Run/Debug Configurations | Advanced tab -> Classpath and JDK is between 1.5 - 1.8 versions.

Thank you so much. It works now.

As this is the only reference I can find:

How do I fix this exact same problem in PHPStorm 2019.3.1?  I cannot find the settings you are referring to.  There is nowhere to specify a JDK version that I can find in Storm.

And, as Storm works on Java, why is this an issue in the first place?

My JDK:

openjdk 11.0.5 2019-10-15

Ashley Kitson, unfortunately, it just doesn't work outside IDEA rendering this plugin useless. I've pushed it to our issue tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-231202

Great, I can only roll back to 2019.3.1
I also need that debugger urgently.
Is it a problem with the plugin itself because the creator didn't use the default jdk which is used by Phpstorm?

Can this also be done by the creator?

Edit:
Sorry, that Plugin is from Jetbrains. :-(

Hi Eugene

OK - well, it's on the list now to be fixed I guess.  I'll revert to other methods for now.  Thanks.

Hi Eugene!

I have the same problem as a Rider and I also do not see this setting. Apparently the cause of the problem is the same. Probably need to complement the task https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-231202.

Or maybe there are ways to get around this in a Rider. I really need this debugger.

I need this to go from studio to rider :)

Hi Dan, please vote for the issue and leave a comment with your IDE and its version so that the dev saw there are people affected, right now it's only me there.
