Intellij IDEA and new 16" MacBook Pro

Answered

Hi, would it be a huge difference between a MacBook Pro i7 and the new Macbook Pro with i9 processor while developing in Java and Android Studio?

Actually  got 16 GB RAM and i7 from 2017 and think about getting  a new one with 32 GB RAM and the i9

Is it it worth? Would i feel improoved compiling etc? So will Intellij make use of the 8 cores or is intelliJ not multi core compatible?

Indexing, code analysis and compilation will utilize all the cores, so it will be faster.

It would depend on your budget and the projects you are working on. If you run several emulators, work on large projects and can afford i9/32GB, then go for it.

On the other hand, i7/16GB would be just fine for most of the users.

I guess only you can decide whether it's worth the extra money. Since you can return it and get a full refund for it within 14 days of purchase why don't you just go for your dream config and experience it yourself?
