Loading Project Loading Components hangs up PHP
When creating a new Project from existing Server-Files, it hangs on Loading components. Unfortunately no Log-File-Upload possible here...

Unfortunately, it is hard to say anything for sure without checking log files. Probably you could provide these in a support ticket?
Could you please tell more about the project? What kind of files are included, how big is it?
how can i upload you the log? see no upload-field here?
btw. it happens almost every time if i add a new project from existing files
You can try it the other way around - create an empty project first and then configure a deployment configuration. It's similar to what
Create New Project from Existing Filesdoes.After that, invoke
Tools | Deployment | Download from ...and see how it goes.You can submit logs within a support ticket (as they may contain some private data), but before collecting them, please add
#com.jetbrains.plugins.webDeploymenttoHelp | Debug Log Settings, restart the IDE and reproduce the issue so that the logs contained events required for troubleshooting.Thank you a lot for the instructions. I will submit as soon as I'll have a new project and the error occurs. By now it seems to me, that this happens only, if another project in a different window is already open and then creating a new project.

I am seeing the same behavior in WebStorm 2019.2.3 and 2019.2.4. Couldn't open any folders (they were all new, lacked a .idea folder, not sure if that matters) in a new window, got stuck on "Loading components...".
Restarting WebStorm didn't help. However, closing ALL current projects, made the problem go away for some reason. Even with other projects open afterwards, the problem didn't re-appear. Very weird.
