Looking for resources or forums supporting Intellij Android UI development

Would anyone be able to recommend a good forum or other form of resource that walks through the Android UI in Intellij? I use Intellij for Java development regularly, but this is our first Android project and I'm struggling to understand and build out even simplest text boxes and labels and buttons in the Android UI Designer within Intellij. I still don't even know what constitutes a label in the options available. I'm constantly battling constraints and getting controls to even show up. I'm used to drag and dropping and things showing up and staying in place. Even the videos demonstrating the building of a UI are many versions out-of-date.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
