PyCharm freezes Ubuntu when select Interpreter

I am running Pycharm 2019.3 on Ubuntu 18.04(with 8G RAM). When I select a python interpreter the application(as well as the whole system) freezes in updating the skeleton. Seems this issue still exists in this version. I have never experienced this in 2019.2.
