Frequent crashes of PyCharm on Ubuntu 18.04.3

Hi,

I am experiencing quiet annoying issues with PyCharm Community Edition 19.3.1 in Ubuntu 18.04.3. After working for some time the IDE freezes. This may happen during coding, running code or executing git commands. I cannot see any pattern. If it happens I can only end it using pkill java in terminal. However if I then restart PyCharm I get two windows. One is empty with jut the top menu, the other contains a broken GUI. In order to get a working IDE again I have to reboot. Currently that means I have to reboot every one or two hours which is not a great option.

Is anyone familiar with the issue and has an idea for a potential solution? I highly appreciate any help.

Do you mind filing an issue to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/PY and attaching your logs folder zipped from Help | Compress Logs and Show in...?
