Errors not highlighted in project, breadcrumbs, or tabs.

PyCharm is not showing a red wave underline for Python errors in the project panel:

Note that this is not the case with JavaScript or other errors, they show up fine. Installing older versions of PyCharm does not help.

Windows 10. 2020.1 Pro version.

Any ideas how I can fix this?
