IntelliJ 2020.1 windows not getting focus

I'm using IntelliJ on OS X and I'm working with view mode "Window" for a lot of windows (Run, Debug, Messages, ... )
However, since I started using IntelliJ 2020.1, those windows don't get focussed anymore when running a test, having compilation issues, ... Only when the windows are closed they get reopened and receive focus, but when they're already open I have to go look for them myself.
Did this become configurable? Or what might be causing this issue?

I updated to 2020.1.1 but the issue still persists.
