conda env that does not exist in my Ubuntu terminal shows up out of nowhere

I opened a folder as a new project and it started building a new conda env for it without me doing anything.

Now the env is listed in Project Interpreter in Pycharm but not in my Ubuntu terminal when I do conda info --envs.

It's really weird.

PyCharm doesn't create a conda environment on its own so it's strange that it happened in your case.

The lack of that environment in the terminal can be explained by the usage of a different conda executable I believe.

When you create a conda env in PyCharm there is a Conda executable field. Could you make sure you use the same one in your system terminal?
