Irratating text highlighting

After highlighting text the IDE makes it impossible to un-highlight after I click again. This means I can't leave the text window and the text will just keep scrolling down and highlight more. Also sometimes if I leave the text window and don't click the window gets highlighted and just keeps highlighting text. This happens on both my mouse and the touch pad. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Also I'm running Ubuntu
Does it occur in IntelliJ IDEA only? Do you see the same behavior in other java-based editors like NetBeans?
As a basic troubleshooting step, try to start IDE with default settings (File | Manage IDE Settings | Restore Default Settings). Does it help?
