How to pip freeze the virtual environment ONLY

I have been coding in Python for awhile, and therefore have lots of package installed through pip.

Since today, I just starting to use Pycharm. I create a new, blank virtual environment and tried to install some packages (matplotlib, numpy, etc.). Now, I would like to pip freeze those package ONLY. When I tried opening the terminal from Pycharm (right click project folder -> open in terminal) and do pip freeze, it includes ALL of the packages I installed outside of virtual environment.

Is there a way around this?

Have you checked that the venv is activated when you open the terminal?
It's enough to just open the terminal tool window, no need to do it from the context menu.
